3 All tools should have a proper storage location to protect them from loss or damage Clean and return them after use

4 Never leave tools on the floor where they will become a trip hazard Never leave tools hanging over the edge of a bench where they could fall – see above

5 Replace worn or damaged tools immediately Use tools only for their intended purpose and use them properly Only use chisels, knives or blades that are sharp. Never use blunt tools

6 Files should not be used as pry bars – they are very brittle Never stand behind anyone swinging a hammer – stand to the side
