EU Regulations: change to standard roaming rates in Europe for SMS, calls & data

Standard roaming rates in Europe What’s happening? Due to a change in the exchange rate between the Euro and Sterling we need to reduce our standard roaming rates in Europe for making and receiving calls, sending a text messages and using data in Europe. Who is affected? New, re-signing and existing customers on standard rates in Europe. However there are a few of our other propositions which are affected by a part of the new pricing changes, for example, texts, voice or data. Please see the table below for clarification.

Pricing today vs 1 July 2015 – for all Channels DIRECT & DISTRIBUTION Zone 1 & 2 Western Europe EU & Non EU Today1 July Calling UK (per min)15.6p13.8p Calling within Zone (per min)15.6p13.8p Calling out of Zone (per min)79p Receiving a call (per min)4.1p3.6p Sending a text4.9p4p Sending a media message21p Data/MB16.5p14.5p WHOLESALE DISE & ABS Zone 1 & 2 Western Europe EU & Non EU Today1 July 14p12.4p 14p12.4p 71.1p 3.6p3.2p 4.4p3p 18.9p 34.2p13p

My Europe Extra and Ireland Bolt On – excluding Wholesale My Europe Extra Todays and 1 July rates Ireland Bolt On Todays and 1 July rates

My Europe Extra and Ireland Bolt On – Wholesale (except for ABS) New regulated rates My Europe Extra Ireland Bolt On

O2 Travel What’s happening? The only thing impacted is the price of a text message, which goes down, so it is good news for customers. Customers will now pay 4p instead of 4.9p to send a text message in Europe. The rest of O2 Travel stays the same. £1.66 a day for all the data you need in Europe. Calls cost 41p for the first 60 mins and then 20ppm afterwards. Texts are now 4p to send and free to receive. For all channels except Wholesale ABS

Improving O2 Travel for customers As part of improving our customer experience around our roaming props, we’re really happy to announce we’ve made an improvement to O2 Travel. Today customers on O2 Travel are throttled once they’ve used 50MB of data in a day. This means they can continue to use data but at a slower speed. From Wednesday 1 July new, re-signing and existing Business Customers using O2 Travel will have the option to continue experiencing full data speeds once they’ve used 50MB in a day. How? They’ll receive this text alert ‘O2: Just to let you know you’ve used 50MB from your O2 Travel daily allowance. You can continue to use O2 Travel but may experience slower data speeds until you get your new allowance at midnight UK time. If you’d like to continue using data at the same speed, text MOREDATA to 23336. This will reset your daily allowance and you’ll be charged another £1.66 ex VAT, which will last until midnight that day (UK time).’ O2 Travel offers our customers simplicity, value and transparency. As a general rule of thumb, if a customer wants to use more than 13MBs of data in Europe a day, then it’s worthwhile promoting O2 Travel to them.

Changes to low and high data caps in Europe What’s happening? Due to the changes to the standard roaming rates in Europe the price of data per MB is going down. For this reason the amount of data that a customer gets for the amount they pay on the default and larger option user caps goes up. Who’s affected? Customers on the default and larger option data user caps in Europe New/re-signing/existing customers? All Today1 July DefaultData charged at 16.5p £33.34 for 210MB Data charged at 14.5p £33.34 for 230MB Larger Option Data charged at 16.5p £100 for 630MB Data charged at 14.5p £100 for 690MB For all channels except Wholesale ABS

Customer Communication We’ll be contacting customers affected by these changes from mid-June. We will detail all the new pricing from the 1 July to comply with legal requirements. Communications Strategy The messaging they receive will vary depending on the proposition they are on We’ll be contacting which channel’s customers? Direct & Distribution Partners (not Wholesale)

Andorra moving from Zone 2 to Zone 6 for voice only when roaming

Andorra now moving from zone 2 to zone 6 for voice – for all Channels What’s happening? We’re moving Andorra from zone 2 to zone 6 for voice when a customer is roaming in Andorra. See the green box for what the new pricing will be. Who’s affected? Customers on our standard rates in Europe and those on My Europe Extra (108 MPNs in total) New/re-signing/existing customers? All

All Changes Matrix showing how different groups of customers will be affected by each of these changes

From 1 July Standard Rates incl. high & low data user caps 24 hour Worldwide Bolt On30 day Worldwide Bolt On Existing customers (pre 1 July 2015) Pricing will change giving them more preferential rates due to the current Euro to Sterling exchange rate. The default and heavy user cap allowances will increase for them within Europe only Uncapped Customers on an uncapped version of the bolt on allowing them to use as many 24 hour Bolt Ons as they like in a day But if a customer wants to be on a capped version, from 1 July then can move onto one (see options below in new) Uncapped Customers on an uncapped version of the Bolt On allows them to use as many 30 day Bolt Ons as they like in 30 days. But if a customer wants to be on a capped version, which allows them 1 per billing cycle, then from 1 July then can move onto it. New customers New customers will get the new rates in Europe The default and heavy user cap allowances will be at the new higher level within Europe only By default a customer will be put on the capped version allowing them 4 Bolt Ons per billing cycle But advisors can provide 3 other choices 1.A cap of 1 Bolt On per day 2.A cap of 2 Bolt Ons per day 3.An uncapped option New customers will get the uncapped version unless they request the capped version. Re-signing customers Re-signing customers will get the new rates in Europe The default and heavy user cap allowances will be at the new higher level within Europe only If they already have this Bolt On then nothing changes and they will have the uncapped version unless they choose to move onto capped. If they don’t then they will be capped and have the same options as the new customer above. Re-signing customers will get the uncapped version unless they request the capped version.
