3 U.S. was on the Allied side, the four main powers of which were the U.S., The United Kingdom, Russia, and France. Though we helped in ways, U.S. did not enter the war until after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, which was in December of 1941. By that time, France had fallen to Germany, and Russia was busy fighting Germany at home. The U.K. was on its own. The Basics
