14. Summary of what may affect you Aircraft will often be higher than today and will be more concentrated onto predictable flight paths over lightly populated areas where possible – in line with the latest Government policy.

The environmental overview At lower levels, there will be some small increase in track miles flown for some aircraft – this is because environmental impact of noise is given priority over fuel-efficiency In the long term, if no airspace changes were to be made, the forecast traffic increase at the airport would lead to a sharp increase in delays to Farnborough aircraft, both in the air and on the ground, leading to increased local environmental impact.
