PRIMARY SOURCES Definition: A document or physical object that was written or created during a specific time period (of study) Examples: autobiography, interview, ancient document, pottery, photographs etc

SECONDARY SOURCES Definition: a document that interprets and analyzes primary sources They are at least one step removed from a specific event Examples: History textbook, wikipedia page, some newspapers
