Narratives – write a story that involves dinosaurs. Dinosaurs could be the characters in the story. Write a story based on the Mayans so it links to our history topic. Poetry – Write and perform poems based on mythical creatures. Britain’s Got Talent style. Maths Know times tables up to 12 x 12 and get full marks on the quiz. Start to memorise division facts too. Bus stop method. Use our own knowledge to test each other on how to round numbers. Apply these skills to problems we write ourselves. Measure real ingredients and convert our own measurements. Change the measurement used in a recipe and test it out. Measure the distance between things in different units of measure. Apply our addition and subtraction skills in lots of problem solving. Science Grow our own vegetables in our environment and watch how they grow. Keep a diary of the growth of plants.
