What is a Hurricane? A severe tropical storm –Forms in Atlantic Ocean, in Caribbean Sea, Pacific Ocean and Gulf of Mexico How it forms –Moisture in light winds –Heat and energy from water gather –Evaporation from the seawater increases their powers

Duck and Cover! What you can do to stay safe Listen to the radio –During a hurricane or an emergency Disaster meeting place Decide on a meeting place if separated Disaster supply kit –Flashlights, batteries, etc.
