LUREDERRA will send a template to each partner after the meeting (2 nd week of November) requesting specific information concerning the role of each partner in WP1. Each partner should provide precise information concerning the materials that will be used and the available facilities for the fabrication and characterization of the materials that will be fabricated. Partners have 2 months (2 nd week of January) in order to fully clarify their role in each task and report to the Project Coordinator and to the WP1 Lead Beneficiary concerning on the materials to be used, the available facilities along with a brief literature review. Telephone meeting to be performed on the 3 rd week of January to agree how to proceed

STABLE Kick-off meeting Torino – October 25 th - 26 th,2012 LOGO PARTNER INSTITUTION Workplan for the next 6M Task 1.1 Development of anode protecting layers (coating) or surfactants with high safety and wide temperature operation range Participants: POLITO, LUREDERRA, IVF POLITO & IVF: Synthesis and characterization of ultra-thin plasma polymer layers. LUREDERRA: Synthesis of nanoparticles that will be incorporated in the polymer matrices to be also manufactured by Lurederra. The nanoparticles will be used in the next months for the development of the protecting polymer layers. Continuous Exchange of samples POLITO IVF LUREDERRA

Characterization. IVF: Manufacture microstructure lithium anode materials with inorganic fillers/additives applying suitable colloidal pre- preparation, slot-die or tape casting, post-treatment and microstructural/electrochemical evaluations. STABLE Kick-off meeting Torino – October 25 th - 26 th,2012 LOGO PARTNER INSTITUTION Workplan for the next 6M Task 1.3 Synthesis and characterization of nanostructured lithium powder and lithium alloy alternative anode Synthesis nanostructured anode materials using different techniques, and electrochemical characterization of these obtained materials. Participants: POLITO, LUREDERRA, LEITAT and ELAPHE POLITO & LEITAT: Synthesis of lithium foils and lithium metal nanorods, respectively, using different techniques (sputtering and electrodeposition, respectively). LUREDERRA: Synthesis of nanoparticles in order to be incorporated in the structures. ELAPHE: Analysis of materials and production methods of the lithium anode compared to existing production methods and analysis of the required effort to scale up the technology (not applicable for the first 6 months).
