2
A. The CPG has been productive during the time I have been an attendee 8% 40% 52%
3
B. Tell us why you chose that score? The topics have been varied, informative, well presented and interesting It has been very beneficial having the weight of the Scottish Parliament behind us The CPG has been an ideal way to meet like-minded safety professionals, share information, highlight research and to both give and receive updates The group is proactive and ensures that key messages are disseminated to a wide audience. Constructive feedback: Interesting and informative but not necessarily productive Suggest that more voting/agreement by the group on motions to be passed should be decided upon at the meetings

K. If I Hadn’t attended these meetings the following would not have happened: SGN spent a week at the Parliament promoting gas safety, carbon monoxide awareness and social responsibility practices Development of new ideas such as ‘Smart Signs’ (A Coastguard registered, uniformed approach to the design of all UK safety signage-with each sign carrying a unique location- identifying number, a grid reference and a smart phone QR code giving the first responder access to emergency first aid advice) Water Safety Scotland would not have managed to get started or be where it is now CPG meetings allowed stakeholders to help RoSPA produce the Big Book of Accident Prevention
13
L. The most important benefit of having a CPG on Accident Prevention and Safety Awareness has been: Knowledge sharing and networking Raising important health and safety matters at a national level Direct access to hear and question MSPs on accidental injuries Identifying new issues and working together to find solutions MSP involvement has resulted in issues highlighted during meetings being brought forward in the Scottish Parliament and with the Scottish Government
14
M. Any other comments? Excellent organisation/facilitation of the CPG Unique Group that must be continued Profile of injury prevention has been raised in Scotland Areas for improvement: Timings Small screens Availability of presentations
