2 The Question What is presentation? Why we need to learn presentation? Where we need it? How present?

3 The important fact  What is the aim?  What is my title?  Who am I speaking to?  What are the main points I want to make?  What do I want the audience to do after listening to my presentation?

4 The Structure Basically there are three parts of presentation :  The beginning or Introduction  The middle or Body  The end or conclusion

5 The beginning or the Introduction Get the audience's attention and signal the beginning. Greet audience. Introduce oneself, Give title and introduce subject Give your objectives Announce your outline. Questions and comments from the audience. Make a transition between the introduction and the body.

6 The middle or Body Content. Quantity Sequencing your ideas. Keeping the audience's attention Signposting or signaling where you are. Listing information Linking ideas, sections/making transitions Outlining options. To be clear and concrete.

7 The end or Conclusion Content Dealing with difficult questions Summary of part structure of an presentation

8 VISUALS What are visuals? What media are used? What is the vocabulary of the equipment used? What should you put on a visual? Vocabulary of graphs/chart Why use visuals? Text to put on a visual Size, layout, font (typeface) and size, colors. How should you present a visual in a presentation?

9 CREATING INTEREST AND ESTABLISHING A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE AUDIENCE Arouse listeners' interest from the beginning. Illustrate with a real life story or anecdote. Be brief and clear in giving the subject and purpose. Use words like you, we, us, our. Use a variety of media sources.

10 Rhetorical questions   Have you ever seen/heard/experienced...?   How can we explain this?   What does that mean?   Say something is important.   Stress verbs with your voice.   Repetition
