Sedimengntary Rocks
7
Breccia North America How would you describe this sedimentary rock?
8
Metamorphic Rocks Metamorphic rocks that has been changed by heat or pressure. The metamorphic rocks are deep in into the earths crust. If you melt metamorphic rocks it will change to igneous rocks. Quartzite is a metamorphic rock it forms into sandstone.

10
Fossil Rock This rock was found in North America. Insert picture of the rock How would you describe this metamorphic rock?
11
Igneous Rocks Igneous rocks are magma that are cooled and hardened into igneous rocks. If it cools quickly it will look like glass. If it cools slowly it will have larger grains.
12
Igneous Rocks Diorite Pegmatite
13
Diorite How would you describe this metamorphic rock? It usually occurs as large intrusions, dikes, and sills within continental crust.
