Stress can be either a positive or negative reaction to situations. How you react to these situations can possibly determine your level of physical and mental health.

ALARM STAGE The body releases adrenaline into the blood stream causing a “fight or flight” response

RESISTANCE STAGE The body is trying to deal with long term alarm stage; you are functioning at a high level and it is starting to effect the body

EXHAUSTION STAGE After long term alarm the body starts to break down causing physical and/or mental illness

STRESS AND PERSONALITY TYPE A- competitive, high strung personality who is more susceptible to illness. TYPE B- low key, doesn’t let stress affect them as much. PERFECTIONIST- nothing is good enough, stressed, and sometimes suicidal.
