3 Consider this… “Stress is what you feel when you have to handle more than you are used to. When you are stressed, your body responds as though you are in danger. It makes hormones that speed up your heart, make you breathe faster, and give you a burst of energy. Muscles tense, ready for action Liver dumps increased sugar and fats into your blood stream for fuel Increased sweat Your heart beat speeds up; your blood pressure increases Increased blood flow to your brain, muscles, and heart Decreased blood flow to your digestive tract, kidneys and liver
