4. Scent- smell The scent of the rose made the little girl smile!

5. Wanders – to travel without a plan of where you are going The horses were wandering around in the field!

6. Whined – gave a long, high cry The kids whined all day because they couldn’t go to the playground.

7. Obey – do what you are told to do The lady did not obey the law and she had to go to court and pay a fine.

8. Demonstrate – show how something works or how it is done The teacher will demonstrate how to make the geometric shape.

9. Patrol – watch over or guard Officer Scott patrols our school and keeps us safe.

10. Accompany – to go someplace with someone Will you accompany me to the park to watch the waterfall?

11. Competent – being good at what you are doing The lineman is competent at his dangerous job!
