MATHS EVENING YEAR 11 Tuesday 9 th February

RESULTS OF NOVEMBER EXAMINATIONS Results overall were very pleasing. 70% of pupils in Year 11 have achieved a C Grade. Current predictions suggest we should exceed 80% A* to C this summer. With 32% of pupils on track to achieve A* or A. The total score needed was 120 for a C on the foundation paper. An average of 60% on both papers. On the higher tier paper pupils needed 58, 89, 120, 151 for a C, B, A and A* respectively.

A bank of past papers will be added to the school website.

THINGS IN PLACE TO SUPPORT YOUR SON/DAUGHTER After school and lunchtime revision available for foundation and higher tier starting after half term. (Please see your packs) Additional intervention lessons being run. Revision sessions during Easter and Whitsun half term. Plus Sundays in the run up to the exams. Weekly past papers being set for homework and item level feedback given for completed papers.

KEY DATES Thursday 26 th May– Paper 1 Examination 0900 (Non Calculator) Thursday 9 th June – Paper 2 Examination 0900 (Calculator) 7am Start the morning of examinations.
