They will discuss IP and patents. They will provide great insight regarding these topics. They will dive into what is a patent, how is it constructed, as well as how does one receive a patent, and what does it grant you. Tariq Hafiz and Scott Jarrett Mr. Tariq Hafiz has worked at the USPTO for over 15 years. Currently, he is a Supervisory Patent Examiner. Tariq has a Electrical Engineering degree. Mr. Scott Jarrett recently joined the USPTO having worked in diverse areas including eBusiness and Information Technology, and Integrated Circuit Design. Scott has a M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Dallas and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University.

Vice President of Chapter Development – Manage the development of monthly chapter meeting subjects and speakers, assist VP of Chapter Development, attend board meetings, promote chapter. Vice President of Technical Development – Manage technical content development including tutorials, seminars, and manage university relations, assist VP of Chapter Development, attend board meetings, promote chapter. Treasurer – Manage financial activities, support other board members as required, attend board meetings, promote chapter. Secretary & Newsletter Editor – Manage historical and monthly chapter documentation activities, manage chapter bi-laws, attend board meetings, promote chapter, assist President and President Elect in national communications. Director at Large (Newsletter) – Assist INCOSE Secretary in newsletter editing and publishing duties. Director at Large (Dallas Science Fair) – Promote chapter participation in annual science fair, organize judging, promote chapter awareness.
