2. 1 Background As China Telecom promised, we are trying to become a green operator and already reduced the comprehensive energy increment by 3-4% compared with 2010. Various energy saving approaches are deployed innovatively. Energy saving is a hot topic and will produce more innovations as we expected. What can we do in wireless world? What we have done is the first step Second step is a dynamic coverage changing phenomenon due to traffic variation

3. 2 Dynamic Coverage Adjustment Technology Study Requirement Minimized the impact of network performance, dynamically enlarge or shrink the coverage on demand. This feature should be supported by both 1x and HRPD network.
