2 Location in Canada The Appalachian region is the Maritimes, Newfoundland and Labrador, and the most southern part of Quebec.

3 Vegetation The pitcher plant is native to the Maritimes and it eats insects. The insects get trapped in the leaves and drown because the leaves collect water!

4 Vegetation The sundew plant eats insects as well by getting them stuck to the sticky leaves and the bugs die.

5 Trees The Appalachian region is home to many kinds of trees including the Eastern white cedar, pine trees, spruce trees, willow, oak, ash, and poplar.

6 Physical features  Appalachian mountains(most of the land), rocky areas,  oldest highland region in Canada,  hills,  created three hundred million years ago,  there is the beautiful Atlantic ocean as well

7 Eastern Economy McCain's started in the east coast and has spread through Canada

8 Eastern Economy Prince Edward Island is well known for its red soil, potatoes and oats.

9 Eastern Economy Of course seafood is popular in the Maritimes.
