Objective: Students will be able to analyze the various causes and effects of slavery in the colonies by completing a worksheet and classroom discussion. Purpose: To examine the significance Africans had on American, U.S. History, and their contributions to the origins of the war. Standard: 1.2 - Students will compare lifestyles in the New England, Middle, and Southern Colonies according to race, class, and gender by utilizing one of the big 11 social studies skills.
