DCS workshop,march 10th P.Saturnini, F. Jouve Slow control trigger of the muon arm Pvss courses(june 2002). Implementation of pvss in our lab with a opc simulator (iconics opc server) from september 2002 up to now. At the moment,we are waiting for the wiener opc server, it was foreseen for last september…… it is now foreseen for next september!! Concerning our first full chamber test (called RPC1) next may at gif, we foresee to use the SLIC OPC for controling our low power supply. we’ll certainly need help for the control of the wiener pl500.

Muon-Trg High Voltage 2 CAEN SY1527 crates, in the cavern –13 A1526 (double slot, 15kV/1mA, 6 channels) (RPC) –3 A1733 (single slot, 3kV/3mA, 12 channels) (efficiency monitoring) Can be located in the counting room with longer cables. HV Cern cables, diameter : 5 mm. Low Voltage 2 Wiener PL500 LV power supply crates, in the cavern –16 modules Modules: 115A/550 W MEH 2…7 V from wiener LV distribution: Slow control trigger of the muon arm

Crate/Equipment Control –17 FEE VME crates, in the cavern –Wiener crates –2 pulses generator Environment monitor –Atmospheric pressure, Humidity, Temperature measurement on several points on/around the detector Wired individually Possible solutions: WAGO or ELMB Gas system Interlocks HV/ flux,temperature of gases, HV ramp down if no gas and/or T > 30 °C.
