How to get there Since Italy is all the way on the other side of the world your options of transportation are very limited. You would either have to take an airplane or a cruise across the ocean. Taking this trip would be very expensive and probably cost approximately $603 per person. This flight would most likely be a one way trip. When traveling to another country you will need to invest in a passport if you don’t already have one. The average price for a passport is $359 including government and service fees.

Ways of getting around Venice, Italy Some common ways of getting around Italy are by taking the railway or riding a Vespa. Obviously some options are more expensive than others. If you want to save money on this trip then I would suggest taking the railway. If you choose to take the railway you will most likely need a rail pass which could cost anywhere from $10-$15. The cost from the actual ticket could be anywhere from 40-80 euros depending on your preference of first or second class. If money isn’t an issue and your staying in the same place a Vespa is a good choice. The cost of renting a Vespa can range any where from 20-150 euros per day/week.

Entertainment in Italy When visiting a different country their customs are much different than ours, therefore there are many options for entertainment. There are many different kinds of places to eat in Venice. A seafood and pasta place is Osteria Boccadoro. A traditional restaurant to eat at is Locanda Cipriani. It is only 30 minutes from the center of Venice. Another thing to do in Venice is shop. A good place to shop is the Campo Santa Margerita. There are many historical places to visit in Venice such as St. Mark’s square and the Grand Canal. Museums are a great way to learn about Italy. One of the best museums to visit is the Basilica of St. Mark.

Living in Venice, Italy Living in Italy can be very expensive, but if you look thoroughly there are some cheaper ones. For example, the Guglie apartment is a very spacious and beautiful place to live. It has two bedrooms and can have four people living in it at once. This apartment is especially beneficial because it is right by local markets. The monthly payment for this apartment is 1400 euros. It has electricity, gas, water, heating and air-conditioning as well.
