3. WH Y ? The biggest influence on my values is social media

4. Why ? More so than news outlets that are also available through apps on mobile devices, millennials are drawn to gather our news from platforms that we also find our friends, interests, entertainment, etc..., which leads us away from traditional modes of receiving information, like radio, newspaper, or even television.

5. WH Y ? Because of the wide demographic spectrum social media reaches, there are many figures and organizations (diplomats, activists, politicians) that use these platforms to reach wider audiences

6. WHY ? In recent events, there are large groups of people who use social media to aid them in their causes, turning their internet presence into real-world actions. However, they still use their platforms (Facebook, Twitter, etc...) to stream things to their audiences in real- time

8. WHY ? As someone living and identifying as an African American, these people brought light to issues that resonate with me personally, which sparked my interest in their causes. Viewing what these people do for our community, like placing themselves in unsafe circumstances allows me to see those actively protesting in these conditions as heroes
