5 25.2- Communities and Travel  The mountains and seas helped isolate ancient Greek communities  People traveled by land and sea

6 25.3- Farming  Farming wasn’t easy, but people adapted  Farmers grew food for their families and raised animals  Shortage of good land caused conflict

8 25.4- Starting Colonies  Ancient Greeks started colonies in other countries  Needed to make a lot of preparations before leaving to start a colony  Colonies spread Greek culture and allowed trade to flourish
