4. Summary Elsie Wyatt wants to succeed at being a superstar musician like her father and her grandpa. Before she auditions for Shining Birches, an orchestra camp that her father got into she has to survive her school’s marching band. She wants to follow on her father’s tracks on getting into the popular music camp called Shining Birches. Elsie has to wear polyester pants and a hat but she has to deal with playing a different instrument while she is right on the track of playing her horn in Shining Birches. In band camp she plays something called the Mello-phone. She has to survive marching band. Elsie can not sit down, or say anything right to the cute trumpet player named Jake. It is going to be way harder then she thought.
