32. Vocabulary A decision is the choice that we make. We make decisions all the time. We decide when to get up in the morning. We decide what to eat, what game to play, what books to read. What are some decisions you have already made today?

33. Read a Passage Today you will read about Rosa Parks, an African American woman who made a decision to take a stand that would change how African Americans were treated. As you read selections like this, it is helpful to compare and contrast one thing or event with another. When you compare things, you tell how they are alike.
