Gypsy and Traveller Children Traveller children, like any other children, need the opportunities to develop to their full potential. Many come from families and a culture where many individuals are largely illiterate Opportunities for young children to socialise with the settled children are extremely limited

The lives of Gypsies have changed over the years Gypsy and Traveller groups are very diverse. They often have different needs and agenda Traditional Gypsy and Travellers values are similar to those aspired to by many in the wider population Gypsies and Travellers have lived in Britain for hundreds of years Strong and positive relationships need to be developed between people from the settled community and the Gypsies and Traveller After all We are all one community We’ve all got something in common, We want our children to be healthy and educated”
