3 Please respond to the questions directly on this page. If you feel you need more space, feel free to add a new slide. 1. What was Truman’s stance on the bombing? 2. What support (reasons, examples, facts, etc.) does he offer to back-up his stance? 3. Is his speech convincing? Does it make you agree with his stance? Explain why or why not and offer specific details from his speech to prove your answer.

5 1. List 3 reasons from the video that support the bombing. 2. List 3 reasons from the video that does not support the bombing. 3. Which argument is stronger? Explain your reasoning. 4. What controls your reasoning? Is logic or emotion a stronger appeal? Explain your response.

6  Now that you have learned the point-of-view from both sides of the issue, it’s time to show what you’ve learned. Follow the steps below: 1. Go to goanimate.com. 2. Create a short video with two characters. 3. The two characters need to have a conversation with each other about the two different sides of the bombings. 4. Use the notes from the questions to develop the video. 5. Each character in the video must discuss at least four facts as support. 6. When you finish the goanimate video, save it and submit the link for a grade.
