ACCOTINK CREEK @ AIRFIELD RUNWAY & RECHLORINATION PLANT PROJECTS GARRISON FORT BELVOIR, FAIRFAX, VA CONSTRUCTED Dec 2-5, 2008
2
LONGITUDINAL PEAKED STONE TOE PROTECTION (LPSTP) Built with Virginia DOT Class II stone, level-crested @ 3 ft above the base-flow water surface elevation & trenched 3 ft into the bed. One row of live willow poles (3 poles/ft) planted in the LPSTP & another row (3/ft) laid on top of LPSTP (termed Live Siltation).

LPSTP with Joint Pole Plantings & Live Siltation with an Erosion Control Blanket
14
ACCOTINK CREEK, FT. BELVOIR, VA Tuck the Erosion Control Blanket (ECB) at base of slope. The ECB used here is a 100% coir (Coconut fiber) Rolanka BioD-Mat 40 Roll ECB out over willows & LPSTP stone.
15
Install Living Dikes midway between mid-project keys, 3 deep-planted Live Willow Poles per ft.
