Using Text in Microsoft Paint Presented by: Divya Desai Robert Weiblen and James Pallikal 10 May 2005

Introduction Using Paint for text is very useful when you need text in the form of a picture, usually in a website or other design project. This process contains instructions on using the program to create and edit pictures with text. This procedure requires a Windows computer with Microsoft Paint installed. Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > Paint or go to Start > Run > and type “mspaint” to start the program. Then you can begin your text in MS Paint endeavor.

Procedure: Using Text in Paint Select the Text Tool from the toolbox. – This is the "A" button on the left side of the screen

Left-click on the canvas and drag the pointer diagonally. – This will set up the required text frame where the text will go. Pick the desired options for font, color and text size from the Text Toolbar. – If the text tool bar is not on display, click on the View menu at the top of the screen and then select Text Toolbar.

Type the required text in the text frame previously set up. – Alternately, cut and paste the text into the text frame. – Graphics cannot be pasted into the text frame. Click outside the Text Box when finished to end the text-entry.
