1. Binder Set-up You need 5 tabbed dividers or labels:  DOL/Bell  ROTW/Poetry  Writing  Grammar  SSW

2. Binder Set-up Tab #1: DOL/Bell 1)Place correction symbols sheet (blue) in a sheet protector, behind the tab. 2)Place homophone sheet (yellow) in a sheet protector behind the blue sheet.

3. Binder Set-up Tab #2: ROTW / Poetry  Place annotating poetry sheet (white) in a sheet protector, behind the tab.

4. Binder Set-up Tab #3: Writing  Place 3 empty sheet protectors behind the tab.

5. Binder Set-up Tab #4: Grammar  Put the parts of speech sheet (pink) in a sheet protector, behind the tab.

6. Binder Set-up Tab #5: SSW 1)Place Goals for our Writer’s Notebook (white) in a sheet protector and place it behind the SSW tab. 2)Place each SSW Topics sheet (orange) in its own sheet protector and place them behind the white sheet. (You need 2 sheet protectors.) 3)Put lined paper in this section. (about 25 sheets or so)

7.  Place any extra sheet protectors behind the lined paper EVERY PAPER IN LANGUAGE ARTS HAS A  If you place each paper in its proper section every day, your binder will always be organized.  If you don’t know which section in which to place a paper, just ask! Now you’re ready for a great year in language arts class!
