Science Fiction (SCYFY) This is a genre that combines science with fiction. (duh) It is based on the laws of what we currently know about science and the physical nature, but it shows us ideas that we don’t already exist.

Science Fiction… A good science fiction story is a story about human beings, with a human problem, and a human solution that wouldn’t have happened without its scientific content.

Science Fiction… Is a brand of fantasy identifiable by the willing suspension of disbelief. It is supposed to convince you by using real scientific facts to make you believe that the crazy stuff is possible.

FRANKENSTEIN The first contemporary novel to be considered Science Fiction was “Frankenstein” by Mary Shelly. Mary Shelly used certain scientific rationale to persuade the reader that her story was in the realm of things that were possible.

Scyfy VS. Fantasy In Science Fiction, there is always the possibility that these things can happen In fantasy, there are things that are never going to happen, like finding unicorns, or three-eyed monsters.
