2  Held May 8 – 10 2001 @ Picatinny Arsenal  Over 200 participants, 32 companies represented  Three sessions Government session APBI (multi-service) plans through FY07 one – on – ones (8 companies participated)  Held at Picatinny, but was the collaborative effort of TACOM- ARDEC, PEO/PM community, OSC, DCS Ammo, OSD, Navy, AF and Marine Corps. Last Year’s Fuze Industrial Base Workshop

3 The Results  Favorable feedback overall  Disseminated comprehensive fuze business info to industry  Many industrial base issues were raised  Government fuze community, collectively, is very serious about addressing these issues  Impetus for the formation of a DoD Fuze IPT

4 DoD Fuze IPT  Chaired by OSD - Mr. Melita  Plan is to address a host of Fuze IB and technology Issues  Link to industry is through NDIA – Mr. Calabrese is POC  Developing/Refining a Strategic Plan for the Fuze Technology and IB To include a DoD Fuze Technology Roadmap  DoD Fuze IPT will meet periodically w/industry to review progress and solicit input

The OSC and the Army Fuze Management Office (as a representative for PEO Ammo and TACOM-ARDEC) are committed to working together as a part of the DoD Fuze IPT to continue the effort to address fuze industrial base issues.
