After I met Michael Phelps, this song was on the radio, and it was perfect. It has the line that says “All I know is everything has changed.” To me, that was true because I had met my idol, my crush, my biggest celebrity icon. Everything had changed because Michael Phelps was my dream come true that I never thought would happen.

When I read this book, I feel that the song 19 and crazy really resonated with who Alaska is. She is “free, wild, bulletproof” and is completely the person I am not. She is the person described in the song. They echo the theme that I have fun to have and adventures to go on.
