1. 1 Stony Brook Update: HBD Modifications… T.K. Hemmick for the Tent Crew

2. 2 The HBD is still getting modifications. The installation of various parts in the HBD is still ongoing. The four cathodes are still in the evaporator. The glovebox is working well and is very clean. We ran a regen cycle on the purifier of the glovebox and so we’re fully ready. Some pics of the mods and what they remind us of are attached.

3. 3 Window and Conical Shade Supports The window has black kapton. The supports for the cones are in place. Looks kind of familiar…

4. 4 Support for UV Diffuser A support post was added just above the MgF 2 window for a UV Diffuser. Also bears striking resemblance to a common item.

5. 5 Gas Diverters The diverter has two outlets and looks like the cartoon character Earthwork Jim.

7. 7 Summary HBD mods are almost done? We expect HBD to go into the glovebox on Wednesday after all mods are complete and we clean it again. Then we will be ready to install first four GEMs and get back into production mode.
