Major Changes 2002 :Recognition of moving objects, Recognition of postures and gestures, Environment recognition, Distinguishing sounds, Face recognition 2005 : To maintain balance while increasing walking speed and preventing the feet from slipping or from rotating while in mid-air, Honda developed new posture control logic that employs active use of the bending and twisting of the upper body, as well as highly responsive hardware 2007 : technology has made it possible for two or more ASIMOs to act independently according to the situation while providing service in collaboration. 2011 : Honda has developed a highly functional compact multi-fingered hand, which has a tactile sensor and a force sensor imbedded on the palm and in each finger, respectively, and which acts to control each finger independently. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVtu6oyZzXU
