2 I. Key points 1. to prepare 10 scenic areas in YN as the topics for practice.

3 2. Itinerary: ---2 days in KM (Stone Forest, Ethnic Villages, Fuxian Lake, shopping) ---2 days in Diqing (Shangrila, Meili Snow Mountain)

4 3. Task: 10 students can be a team to practice for performance: each one chose a scenic area from the itinerary, to reorganize the guiding speech based on the knowledge, to give independent tour guiding in English one by one to communicate with visitors (the rest students).

5 4 . Teacher’s comments: to give in-time feedback based on student’s pronunciation, wording, fluency, contents, facial expressions, guiding manners.

6 5. How to reorganize the guiding speech? -----How to make your guiding speech for the EXPO Garden coherent ? Be familiar with the outline and key words, use transitional words and sentences, clarify the focus of your guiding, and give general introduction to each part so that visitors can understand the value of each part. Don’t be ambitious to cover everything in the area, otherwise your guiding will not be very impressive to your listeners.
