Parasitism One organism getting nourishment from another organism Host: Organism giving the nourishment Parasite: Organisms taking nourishment

Parasitism continued 1. Parasite somehow attaches to the host 2. Parasite starts taking the nourishment from the host 3. Host is hurt from this relationship but is not killed

Mutualism Two organisms living together and helping each other Ex. Organism 1 – Ants Organism 2 – Acacia Tree The ants feed on the tree The tree gets protection from the ants

Commensalism One organism benefits from the relationship and the other gets nothing. Ex. Orchid & Tree
