Malaria

Malaria is caused by a protozoan called plasmodium. Malaria is transmitted by the anopheles mosquitoes. In the human body plasmodium will damage the red blood cells. They release a toxin which cause a fever. When taking blood from infected persons the mosquito takes the plasmodium too.

The plasmodium is passed on to other persons in the anopheles saliva when getting blood from that person.

Malaria Treatment Drugs such as paludrine, plasmoquine and mepacrine.
