2 Permit Application Summary  Not a “development” permit in the usual sense  VFPF: Defined in certified Land Use Plan  Flood protection levee  Vegetated with native plants  Provides access to public viewing point  Goal of investigation is to:  Determine a path for VFPF’s sub-surface stabilization that satisfies geotechnical engineering requirements, and  Avoids or minimizes impact to any archaeological intact midden or significant features 2
