Simple Present 1)Routine Action: Tom goes fishing every week. My family always comes to visit me. *Frequency adverbs: always, never, usually, rarely, sometimes, often, etc.

Simple Present 2) General or Permanent Situations: My family lives far away. Jack doesn’t work on Saturday. 3) Facts: The Earth is round. The Eiffel Tower is in Paris.

Present Continuous 1)Action happening now or close to time of speaking: Where’s Tom? He’s playing soccer. 2) Temporary situations: Lisa is living with friends until she finds an apartment.

Simple Present: Sara works on Sunday. Sara doesn’t work on Sunday. Does Sara work on Sunday? Present Continuous: Peter is studying hard. Peter isn’t studying. Is Peter studying hard? STRUCTURE
