Warm Up #64: When you hear the term government what does it mean to you? Objective: Students will research other countries to analyze different government systems that exist around the world today. Government An organization set up to make and enforce rules for a group of people. It enforces rules, provides services, and in most cases protects the rights of citizens.

Terms: “Consent of the Governed” - the authority of a government should depend on the consent of the people, as expressed by votes in elections. Rule of Law - the principle that all people are subject to and accountable to law that is fairly applied and enforced
