5 How does/did the evaluation framework allow us to know if we made a difference? 4 What choices displayed the most positive difference? How could you have done it better? What do you realize now that you wish you had thought of earlier?

6 From Illinois 4 Abstract: 4 The Illinois MSP parameters have evolved since the inception of the program, incorporating focused shorter-term impact to longer-term prospects. The starting point of the legislated wording for two-week institutes and the ensuing school-year follow-up sessions for up to three cycles has led to the current design phases which will allow for more meaningful and sustainable partnerships as graduate programs that include full endorsements, administrator and teacher leadership components. The requirements for the inclusion of the Survey of Enacted Curriculum tools and action research as strategy for all participants have contributed in varying degrees to the design for the content and evaluation of our diverse partnerships. Current partnerships are facing considerations for the necessary critical masses for impact at the building, district, and institutional levels. Reflections on the processes of partnership design, implementation, evaluation and sustainability will be shared from both the established and emerging partnerships, including the dilemmas they faced, resolved, and mastered---as starting points for the discussions in this breakout session.
