What Happened? During a night at a Night Club, bouncers acting under the orders of their supervisor were escorting a man off the premises and the man was injured in the process. This was believed to be Assault and Battery.

Ruling When an employee acts on orders from their job they are protected by insurance of the company However when the employee acts in the means of a aggressive behavior her is not covered by the insurance The exclusion is under “Assault and Battery”

What is Coverage? The extent to which something deals with something else. In this case its how far the insurance company is willing to offer protection based on the contract of the business or person

What is Assault and Battery? Assault is the threatening of another person. Battery is physically hurting another person.

What is Commercial General Liability? The CG policy is a ISO Form widely used to provide commercial enterprises with premises and operating liability coverage
