Purpose of the Safety Coordinator To assist our institutions in reducing risk by exceeding regulatory requirements, institutional policies and the Safety Management Program (T-1).

Safety Coordinator’s Role Assist department head in implementation (T-2) – Identify & report unsafe conditions – Investigate incidents Maintain departmental resources – Safety equipment – MAXCOM MSDS – Emergency supplies Train your department Participate in events – Drills – Audits – Meetings

EH&S’ Role EH&S supports the Safety Coordinators by: Being an expert resource for exceeding regulatory standards Maintaining electronic resources (e.g., EH&S website, MAXCOM, ECRI users) Providing training
