Silver Jackets is the state-level implementation of the USACE National Flood Risk Management Program.

Purpose/Goals Continuous mechanism to address state-prioritized flood risk issues Strategic life-cycle planning to reduce flood risk Improved flood risk communication, processes, outreach and collaboration Leverage resources & information – patchwork quilt Multi-agency technical resource for state & local agencies

Structure Charter signed by ‘core team’ agencies USACE coordinates/facilitates Monthly meetings Consensus Membership expands/contracts depending on issues Annual meeting of core team agency leaders Evolves with State’s needs

The Idaho Silver Jackets Team formed in 2009 Washington charter is developed, priorities to come Montana is in charter / priority development
