1982- Gordon was named CEO 1983- Noyce’s profile was written on Esquire Magazine 1984- Noyce and Gordon were named to the IEEE hall of fame 1985- Noyce was formally introduced to the National Inventors hall of fame Fortune declared Intel as one of the ‘8 Masters of Innovation’

Later half of 1984, chip orders started declining Reason?- Japanese Chip companies. Leading to Japanese trade war against Japanese government. American semiconductor industries needed support from congress to fight against the Japanese. Everyone believed just one person could help to regain the status in the chip market Any Guesses??

Bob Noyce, representing the entire US electronics industry got support from Washington DC and won this war against the Japanese. By 1990’s Intel regained its number 1 position
