4. It all started on a Friday. During noon, my aunt and cousins went to my house.

5. “Hi Lauryn!”, I said. My cousin didn’t answer because she was sad.

6. “Why are you so sad?”, I asked her. “First of all, I have homework!”, my cousin replied.

7. “Second of all, I don’t know any of this”, my cousin Laurny responded. I asked her,“Why?”

8. “Why, because it’s math and I’m four years old and I don’t know any math!”, she shouted.

9. “Ok, then let me see it. It’s easy!”, I replied.

10. “I can help you”, I told her. We sat by a table, and I asked her, “Do you know what four plus three is?”.

11. “ Nope!”, my cousin shouted. “What about two plus four?”, I screamed.

12. “ No!”, Lauryn said. Finally, I thought about helping my cousin with her math.

13. It took almost two hours to teach and help my cousin with her math. Then I asked, “What is nine plus two?”.

14. Then my cousin screamed, “Eleven!”. Then I a said, “What about two plus two?”. She replied, “Four”.

15. When I finished helping my cousin with adding, my cousin said, “Thank you, Aileen". I was happy to help her.

17. My name is Aileen. I am 11 years old. I am in the fifth grade. I have three pets. Two are dogs, and the other one is a cat. My friends are Stephanie E., Stephanie D., and Victoria. My two best friends are Ruby and Gloria. My hobbies are writing, reading, and playing volleyball, but mostly I like playing video games with my big brother. My favorite holidays are Christmas, and everyone’s birthday in my family.

18. Hi, my name is Ruby Laparra. I’m 11 years old and my favorite colors are blue and black. I like dogs and rabbits. My birth date is November 23, 1995 (Thanksgiving day). I have two sisters, Karla Jasmin Briones, 7yrs, and Adela Lisbeth Briones, 4 yrs. I am in the fifth grade, and my teacher is Mrs.Frear. My computer teacher is Mrs. Nguyen. She is one of my favorite teachers, because she taught me a lot about computers. I am not only the illustrator, but I am also the narrator. Lauryn is four years old and does not know any math. This is a true story and I hope you liked it!

19. Reflection I used a Compaq Pentium 4, Microsoft PowerPoint, Kid Pix, Kidspiration, and Microsoft Word to do this project. I am one of the characters. I play myself in the story. I’m the main character. In the story, my cousin Lauryn comes to me for help because she doesn’t know any math. At first she was sad, but after doing a lot of hard work, Lauryn and I were happy. The school teacher gave her a certificate for her accomplishment! At the end, I was proud of Lauryn and myself. The time I helped my cousin was like taking care of five big dogs. But, at least, I got through the day! Last year when I did my first story on the computer, I was so amazed and interested, that I wanted to do it again. It took a long time to do this project. I had to make many pictures, and other stuff for the story. I like doing this story! It was fun, exciting, and I had a wonderful time doing this with my friend.
