BAD TIMES The bad times were the wars in the nineties. For example, the Gulf War started in 1991 and Bosnia-Croacia’s War

GOOD TIMES There were also good times. A lot of reconciliations between countries in war. But it was a good time because there was more money and more free time.

CULTURE ·Music -Celin Dion was known and she did the Titanic song ‘My heart will go on’. -In these years new bands like Nirvana, Backstreet boys…were launched. -There were also female bands like Spice Girls

FILM - In this decade, the film industry advanced a lot. -There were a lot of blockbusters that nowadays are popular, for example, ‘Titanic”in 199( this film got 11 Oscars ) ‘Toy Story’ in 1995, this film was the first film made by a computer, ‘Beautiful Life’ in 1998, ‘Forrest Gump’ in 1994 and ‘Matrix’ and ‘Star Wars’ in 1999.

FASHION - Everybody started to express who they were through the clothes -To recycle old clothes -Thanks to the ‘casual Fridays’, they used to wear what they wanted on Fridays and at weekends

INVENTIONS -Dolly the first cloned goat in 1997. -Bill Gates invented ‘windows 95’, then, the competition started between Apple and Windows(1995) - The Internet, at the end of the decade, millions of people had computers and the Internet at home.

REMARKABLE EVENTS -Olympic games were held in Barcelona 1992. -NASA do research on the surface of Mars in 1997 - Bilbo’s Guggenheim designed by Frank Gery was opened in 1997. -The euro was introduced in Europe in 1999. -Eillen Collins, the first woman commanding a spacial mission in 1999. -Death of Maria Teresa de Calcuta in 1997. -Death of Diana de Gales. -The liberation of Nelson Mandela in 1997.
