Where is Barbados located? situated just east of the Caribbean Sea, is a West Indian continental island-nation in the western Atlantic Ocean.

Flag, Motto, Anthem: Motto: "Pride and Industry" The coat of arms depicts two animals which are supporting the shield. On the left is a "flying fish", symbolic of the fishing industry and part of the national dish. On the right is a pelican, symbolic of a small island named Pelican Island that once existed off the coast of Bridgetown. Above the shield is the helmet of Barbados with an extended arm clutching two sugar- cane stalks

Sports: cricket is very popular on the island. Barbadians play on the West Indies cricket team. In addition to several warm-up matches and six "Super Eight" matches, and the country hosted the final of the 2007 Cricket World Cup.
