3 3/18/20162 Oral Presentation Assignment  In a ten to fifteen minute oral presentation, describe the findings of your group’s field research (consumption logs) and library research. You can divide the presentation and organize it in any way you see fit.

4 3/18/20163 An Introduction could include:  What was your topic?  Why did you choose this topic?  What question(s) you were trying to answer?  How did you locate your sources?  What thesis did you arrive at?

5 3/18/20164 A Body could include:  What information did you find in response to your research questions?  What is the overall state of your consumption? Of America’s consumption? What impact does it have on the world?  What solutions did you discover? What can we do to reduce our impact?

6 3/18/20165 A Conclusion might include:  What additional information or sources might you like to find?  What additional questions emerged during your research?  What was your final conclusion?

7 3/18/20166  You should present the results of your research in this presentation, but do not read your essay. You may use an outline, visual aids or a Powerpoint presentation if you choose.

Clear Organization  Indicate your thesis and main points clearly : compose for the ear, not the eye  Provide concrete examples and details for each point  Avoid complex sentence structure: u se personal language  Provide organizational clues with transitions: repeat main points
